The Gin Safari is a juniper-fuelled jaunt across London to reveal a story of gritty social history and the city’s turbulent affair with its favourite tipple, gin!
As you wobble (cycle) around picturesque Dickensian architecture, libations of ‘mothers ruin’ will be served from our GinCycle™, a rickety Victorian gin parlour on wheels.
The Gin Safari celebrates the eccentric. Think of it as a liquid history lesson on bicycles, with laughs and banter along the way.
Expect a gentle cycle, bustling food markets, colourful graffiti, fabulous views, interesting insights, crude jokes, and, of course, plenty of gin tasting!
Sample several delicious gins served from our custom made GinCycle™.
As you quaff your way through a chronologically devised menu tracing the history of gin’s development, your guides will extol tales of London’s past that bring the tastings to life.
You’ll cycle through the pretty residential streets of Southwark and Bermondsey, home of Oliver Twist and Fagin’s Den.
Learn how gentrification has changed once squalid industrial blocks into some of London’s most expensive real estate.
London has some of the best street food markets in the world, some even dating back over 1000 years!
We’ll take a short break at a vibrant market to browse the stalls and pick up tasty treats.
Be sure to bring an appetite! 😋
Take a look at quaint residential areas most people never see. Cycle past terraced brick cottages and gentrified factory blocks.
You’ll get a glimpse into how London was during the Industrial Revolution.
Visit the tunnel where British street artist Banksy held the Cans Graffiti Festival. It’s still a popular spot with local artists, the colourful walls are constantly changing.
You’ll even get to try you hand at graffiti...we supply spray paint!
A delightfully novel way of exploring London’s long-standing love affair with gin.

Landmarks & Gems starts from The Walrus Bar, 172 Westminster Bridge Road, SE1 7RW, London. The closest underground station is Lambeth North (Bakerloo line).
Rides operate rain or shine. We have free ponchos available in the event of rain. However, if we decide that weather will effect the safety of a trip, we will offer to rearrange or refund your booking.
Yes! We have secure storage at our bicycle HQ. Please note, luggage can not be left for any longer than the duration of your bike ride unless with prior arrangement.
We use a mix of bike lanes, back streets, park paths and roads. The route is designed to be as safe as possible for mixed cycling abilities. But please be aware that London is an urban environment and can be busy and unpredictable at times. Riders must have basic ‘street sense’.
This ride includes a visit to a pub which does not allow under 18’s at the bar. However, there is seating upstairs and outside, and there are other nearby options too. If you’re ok with that, then teens (13+) are welcome to join the ride so long as they are a minimum of 55 inches / 140 cm tall. If you have younger / smaller kids, we recommend booking a private tour so that we can tailor the experience especially for your family.
The pub stop is just a brief 20 minutes to enjoy a pint or soft drink and use the facilities. Unfortunately, there isn’t time for a full sit-down meal. But there are bar snacks if you’re peckish!
We know that sometimes travel plans don’t work out as expected. Unfortunately, once your ride has departed it’s not possible to catch up. But if you let us know of any issues before your scheduled departure time, then we’ll do our best to book you onto a later trip.
